The Ohio Department of Aging once again has surveyed residents of Ohio nursing homes and assisted living facilities to determine their satisfaction with the care they receive there.

The Resident Satisfaction Survey has long been a tool for Ohio consumers and their families to identify which facilities in their communities can best meet their needs. It also has evolved to be a valuable resource for facility leadership and staff.

Delaware Court Healthcare Center is very proud to announce that our facility received a
90% Overall Satisfaction Rating for 2015
. Levering Management would like to congratulate the dedicated staff of Delaware Court for this achievement.

Delaware Court gets top honor!

Delaware Court Healthcare Center was awarded with the top honor of a Tier IV Quality Initiative Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living recently.

Those organizations award top-performing skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers across the United States with their Quality Initiative Award annually.

During the 2014 award ceremony in Austin, Texas, in March 2015, Delaware Court Healthcare Center was given the award.

The top-level award is awarded to nursing centers that reach specific and measurable goals.

The quality initiative goals that Delaware Court Healthcare Center was asked to meet were to:

    • Safely reduce hospital readmissions by 15 percent.
    • Increase staff stability by 15 percent. Research shows that a satisfied and happy staff will provide better quality care and contribute to the greater quality of life for residents in a skilled nursing center.
    • Increase customer satisfaction to 90 percent.
    • Safely reduce the off-label use of anti-psychotics by 15 percent. The use of anti-psychotics increases the risk of death, falls with fractures, hospitalizations and other complications that can result in poor health.

Ken Levering, administrator for Delaware Court Healthcare Center, accepted the award for the Levering Management Skilled Nursing Center. Delaware Court Healthcare Center was only one of six skilled nursing centers to receive the Tier IV Award in the state of Ohio for 2014.

Delaware Court Healthcare Center is at 4 New Market Drive and West William Street in Delaware.
